Investment & Capital Corporation of the
Philippines (ICCP) is a leading Philippine investment house with a unique
character and orientation.
As an institution, ICCP places great emphasis on the ethical conduct of its business
and services and on the dedication of its officers and staff to high standards
of professional competence. Its activities transcend areas beyond the scope of
typical investment houses, even as it eschews certain functions normally
associated with investment banking in the Philippines.
ICCP's
principal thrusts run along two parallel tracks: investment banking and project
development. ICCP does not engage in
money market trading, the lending of money for its own account, stock
brokering, and other such activities.
ICCP
commenced operations in January 1988 with a capital base of P100 million. In 16 years, it has grown into a diversified
conglomerate, commonly known as the ICCP
Group, with assets owned or managed of approximately P9 billion as of December
31, 2004.
Its Concept of Relationships
One of the strengths of ICCP lies in the
fact that it builds and nurtures long lasting relationships with its clients. ICCP
seeks to make creative and meaningful contributions to the interests of its
clients based on deep and well-thought-out analyses of their situations as well
its wide-ranging experience in the business world. ICCP also devises practical and
effective solutions, recommendations or approaches to the engagement at hand.
ICCP’s principal activities in the investment banking field include the following:
- Mergers and Acquisitions Advisory
- Financial Advisory
- Equity and Debt Underwriting
- Private Equity Placement
- Loan Arrangement and Syndication
- Project Finance
- Privatization Consultancy
- Project Origination, Packaging, Development, and Management
- Venture Capital Access
ICCP
can be involved in the early stages of a company's or a project's development
through the provision of financial advice as an input to feasibility studies as well as raising the required capital therefore ICCP, through the varied backgrounds of its senior management,
is well equipped to offer ongoing financial advisory services which can assist
clients in adapting to changing market and economic conditions as well as in
monitoring potential market cycles that may affect the performance of the business.
ICCP's on going services also include assisting the client in
raising additional capital funds via the equities or debt markets, both public
and private.
Through its synergy with the other companies in
the ICCP Group, ICCP can also offer additional advice that may range from
"where the client can locate its manufacturing operations" to
"what trade shows the client may want to participate in.” Through the Group’s experience in property
development, in the fields of both industrial estates and residential/mixed use
developments, it can also provide knowledgeable guidance to clients in this industry. The ICCP Group is also active in venture
capital, hence ICCP is in a position to evaluate projects with this type of
orientation as a background as well.
